SYNERGY :

"Synergy" is a mirror of 20cm diameter, framed by 4 wooden discs decorated in the leather marquetry technique. Its final size being, as a whole 1mt diameter.

It was designed and manufactured in collaboration with french master artisan Pierre Roux at his atelier in Alsace, La Reverdie, as part of the Homo Faber Fellowship 2024-2025 NextGen program.

DETAILS

Making it took somewhere between three to four weeks, as well as a total of 560 leaves, each composed of multiple assebled pieces.

Each disc has two sides. Each of them rotate seamlessly in different directions for a surreal experience that reminds us of the relation between nature (the marquetry pattern) and science (the moving discs) during the Art Deco movement.

The piece was exhibited in Milan Design week 2025, at the exhibition "Today's Masters Meets Tomorrow's Talents"
